Playing an RPG is like transitioning to another world – depending on the system that is being run, players fight for survival in the post-apocalyptic deserts of America, make intergalactic journeys, play various fantastic races from elves to dwarves, or stand "on the other side of the barricade", playing vampires or werewolves in a modern world full of people. Whatever they choose, their characters will face a lot of adventures and dangers, prepared in advance by the camp staff.
At the camp, the pupils will be divided into teams consisting of groups of 4 to 6 people. Each of them will decide separately whether they want to play one campaign in a specific system throughout the entire camp or maybe a few short adventures to get to know as many systems as possible at the camp. The RPG systems that players will be able to choose from are: Tol Calen's proprietary BTA Compass Masters RPG system, the new and old World of Darkness (including: Vampire and Werewolf), Warhammer, Call of Cthulhu, Dungeons & Dragons, Vaesen, City of Fog, Masks, Shadowrun and many more. Groups will be matched so that everyone gets what they expect from both sessions and experienced Game Masters.
At this camp, you will find both players with long experience and people who are not yet fully familiar with the world of RPGs. Newcomers will learn to create and play characters reliably and learn the basics of various systems, while veterans will polish their skills as players or learn the secrets of driving as MG. All it takes to delve into the realms of the imagination is an open mind and curiosity about the world.
