Fanal is one of the most symbolic places in the municipality of Porto Moniz, housing an extremely beautiful landscape heritage, where the main role is played by the centuries-old Til forest (Ocotea foetens) - with trees dating back to before the discovery of the archipelago. They are part of the Laurissilva native forest, which is in a protected state and inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The viewpoint of Ribeira da Janela is located on the north coast of Madeira and is rich in impressive mountain landscapes, where the green of the slopes is complemented by the crystal blue of the Atlantic. This point is located exactly at the top of the Ribeira da Janela parish, in Eira da Achada, and allows you to see the parishes of Seixal, San Vicente and Ponta Delgada with all their beauty of the rough and rocky cutout typical of the coast of this region of Madeira.
