✅LEARNING AT SCHOOL: No typical language course. The whole programme is conducted in English and with young people from different countries. The school offers to get to know the living traditions of Japan in a practical way! There will be classes in the form of workshops in English, during which young people will learn how to put on a kimono and yukata, conduct tea ceremonies, the art of making sushi, try their hand at calligraphy and take part in cooking classes. In addition, you will be able to learn the basic phrases in Japanese.
✅ To make each trip both fun and educational, participants will take part in interactive activities such as quizzes, treasure hunt or various challenges. These tasks will encourage them to actively explore their surroundings, collect information and deepen their knowledge of the places they visit. Thanks to this, young people will learn while having fun at the same time!
PROGRAM:
The program organized by the school is designed to be able to learn about the tradition and modernity of Japan.
Day 1: Departure from Poland ✈️
Day 2: Arrival in Japan and welcome
Day 3: Visiting Tokyo: The adventure will begin with exploring Ikebukuro Bosai-kan 🏢 - a place where young people will learn the basics of dealing with natural disasters, and then we will visit Sunshine City 🌆 with its magnificent views of Tokyo. We will end our walk around Asakusa in the Sensoji Temple ⛩️ – one of the most iconic places in Japan. In the afternoon, participants will learn how to put on a traditional kimono and yukata 👘 during cultural workshops.
Day 4: All-day fun in the magical world of Disneyland🎢, which will provide countless emotions and memories for fairy tale lovers as well as fans of modern entertainment. ✨
Day 5: The Fuji Adventure 🏞️ is a day full of breathtaking views and discovering culture in the shadow of one of the most beautiful mountains in the world – the Fuji Mountains🏔️. During the tour, we will admire the iconic five-story Chureito Pagoda🏯, located on a hill with one of the most picturesque views of Mount Fuji. This is a place that often appears on postcards and photos from Japan📸, especially in the 🌸spring when the surrounding cherry trees bloom. Then we will go to Lake Kawaguchi 🏞️ – one of the five lakes surrounding Mount Fuji, and to the picturesque village of Oshino Hakkai🏘️, where there are eight crystal clear ponds 💧filled with water flowing from the melting snows of Fuji. A stroll through Oshino Hakkai is a journey through time – the place looks as if it stopped in the Edo era.
We will end the day with shopping at Gotemba Premium Outlets 🛍️ – one of the largest shopping centers in Japan.
Day 6: This day will take us to the heart of Tokyo's future and creativity🚀. In Tokyo, a futuristic experience awaits us at TeamLab Tokyo, where art comes to life before our very eyes🎨. It is an experience that stimulates all the senses and evokes admiration for the possibilities of technology🤩. Then we will go to Odaiba, an island full of attractions such as Diver City, where we will see a huge, mobile Gundam 🤖 – an iconic robot from Japanese pop culture. In addition, Aqua City and Deck Tokyo Beach🏖️, where we will have time to relax, shop 🛍️ and try local specialties 🍣 overlooking the famous Rainbow Bridge🌉. In addition, we will be in the learning center of the Miraikan Museum🧪, which inspires us to think about the future. We will meet humanoid robots there🤖, learn about space exploration 🌌 and see how technology changes our lives🌍. In the evening, a walk through the most characteristic center of youth culture and fashion styles👗, the vibrant Harajuku district, is an unforgettable adventure for fashion and street food fans🍜.
Day 7: In the morning, we will go to Tsukuba University🎓, one of the most prestigious academic centers in Japan. We will get to know what life is like on a Japanese campus🏫. Then we will go to the JAXA Tsukuba Space Center🚀, where we will see satellite models, equipment used by astronauts 👩🚀 and learn the history of Japanese space missions🌌. We will end the day with a visit to Nakano Mushroom Farm 🍄 – an unusual but fascinating place where we will learn about innovative methods of mushroom cultivation. This is a great example of combining traditional agriculture with modern technologies🌱. Young people will be able to try local products 🥢 and discover how even growing mushrooms can be an art in Japan! 🎨
Day 8: Today we will immerse ourselves in the picturesque beauty of Enoshima Gardens🌿, where exotic plants🌺, waterfalls 💦 and a lighthouse 🌊 create an idyllic landscape. It is a place that combines the harmony of nature with breathtaking views 😍 – especially from the viewing platform of the lighthouse, from where you can admire the ocean panorama 🌅 and, in good weather, Mount Fuji🏔️.
The afternoon is a time for creativity and taste 🍜 – during the workshops, young people will learn how to prepare Cup Noodles🍲, one of the icons of Japanese culinary pop culture.
We will spend the evening at Minato Mirai's Akarenga in Yokohama🏙️, known for its restored, historic brick warehouses that are currently teeming with life. Filled with cafes☕, shops 🛍️ and galleries🎨, it's the perfect place to stroll🚶♀️, buy souvenirs 🎁 and soak up the evening atmosphere of the seaside town🌆.
Day 9: We will see the Imperial Palace🏯, surrounded by majestic gardens🌸. Then we'll move to Shinjuku and Shibuya, two of Tokyo's most vibrant neighborhoods🏙️. In Shibuya, we will see the famous crossing of Shibuya Crossing🚶♂️🚶♀️, which pulsates with the energy of millions of passers-by a day⚡. In Shinjuku, we will discover its contrasts – from elegant skyscrapers to lively 🏢 streets with neon advertisements🌈. In the afternoon, we will end with a visit to Akihabara, called the "electric city"⚡. It is a paradise for fans of technology💻, manga 📚 and anime 🎥 – full of gadget stores🛍️, game salons 🎮 and themed cafes☕.
Day 10: Today we will take the world's 🚄 fastest Shinkansen train to Osaka⚡. It is not only the journey, but also the experience of technology that has made Japan famous all over the world🌍. In the evening, we will immerse ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere of Dotonbori, one of Osaka's most colorful neighborhoods🌈. Illuminated by neon lights💡, full of street food stalls 🍢 and traditional restaurants🍣, it's the perfect place to try takoyaki 🦑 – famous octopus balls – and okonomiyaki🥞, Japanese pancakes.
Day 11: In the morning🍳, young people will take part in culinary workshops during which they will learn how to prepare sushi🍣. The afternoon is a journey through time – we will visit the majestic Osaka Castle🏰, surrounded by extensive gardens🌳. Then we will visit Kuromon Market🛍️, where participants can try local delicacies🍡.
Day 12: It is a day of learning and experience📚. We will spend the morning in English 🇬🇧 and Japanese lessons🇯🇵, which will allow participants to improve their communication skills🗣️. You will also be able to take part in traditional calligraphy workshops ✍️ and tea ceremonies🍵. We will end the day by cooking traditional Japanese dishes together🍣🍜.
Day 13: A trip to Kyoto, a city that lets you experience Japan in its most traditional way🏯. We will see the Golden Temple of Kinkakuji, whose golden facade is reflected in the surrounding pond🌟, creating a postcard-like view📸. A walk through the bamboo forest in Arashiyama 🍃 will be like a journey to another world – quiet, peaceful and full of harmony🌿. We will also visit Kiyomizu-dera – a temple famous for its impressive wooden structure🏚️, and Fushimi Inari-Taisha, where thousands of orange torii gates ⛩️ lead through a magical trail through the hills🏞️.
Day 14: The last day is a visit to Nara Park🦌, where we can meet free-moving deer. It is a unique experience of communing with nature 🌿 and local traditions🏯. Then we will visit Todai-ji, one of the largest wooden temples in the world🏚️, where there is a majestic statue of the Great Buddha🕉️.
In the evening, we will end the camp with a festive Farewell Party🎉, celebrating the experience gained and new friendships🤝.
